Hello,
We are pleased to inform you, that
the first bate component was uploaded in “soperadi-smooks” project:
http://soperadi-smooks.googlecode.com/files/tSmooksInput_002.zip
as well as the relevant documentation:
http://soperadi-smooks.googlecode.com/files/tSmooksInput_002.pdf
Best Regards
Great Work guys!!! Is there flash screencast that people can use to see this in action?
You can see demos on the wiki page of our project:
http://code.google.com/p/soperadi-smooks/wiki/TSmooksInputDemo?ts=1254831901&updated=TSmooksInputDemo
Or download an archive on this link:
http://soperadi-smooks.googlecode.com/files/Video_scenarios_tSmooksInput_002.zip
We can use tSmooksInput component to read an EDI-file, separate fields using a Smooks mapping capabilities and get data to the Talend flow.
Also, it implements the basic properties of Talend components, such as the use of Iterate and Triggered connectors.
@Roman: Just had a look at the videos. This looks very slick indeed. Well done guys!!
So what next for this now Roman, Renat and Co?
We have a new conmonent now.
tSmooks component uses Smooks mapping capabilities to data transform, save the output data to the file and send the output file name to the Talend global Map. Component does not pass the data into the Talend flow directly, but uses more Smooks capabilities than the previous component.
You can get it and documentation from project page

Also there are some screencasts and descriptions in wiki-pages.
